About the Journal

The Linguistic Proceedings Library is an ongoing initiative of The International Linguistic Society dedicated to preserving, publishing, and promoting linguistic research through an open-access, researcher-focused platform.

Our vision is simple: to make linguistic research as accessible, discoverable, and connected as possible.

The library currently contains conference proceedings and research papers dating back to 2006, providing a growing archive of linguistic scholarship spanning multiple conferences, disciplines, and areas of research. By combining modern publishing infrastructure with open-access principles, we aim to ensure that valuable research remains available to researchers, educators, students, and institutions worldwide.

This volume presents the proceedings of Linguistics 2025 Paris, an international hybrid conference organised by The International Linguistic Society and hosted by INALCO. The conference explored current developments in linguistic research and related interdisciplinary fields.

The conference series originated with the first Workshop on Experimental Linguistics (ExLing), held in Athens in 2006 under the auspices of International Speech Communication Association. We thank all participants, keynote speakers Ad Neeleman and Greville Corbett, and the conference committees for their contributions.
